Producing method: Brucite is heated at 750~1100℃ and then being grinded into powders.
Application: Flue Gas Desulfurization
Principle:
Sulfur Dioxide reacts with Magnesium Oxide seriflux in the smoke and then becomes Magnesium Sulfite.
(1)MgO+SO2+H2O MgSO3+H2O
Magnesium Sulfite in the absorption tower reacts with air conveyed by oxidation air blower, and becomes Magnesium Sulfate. The reaction between HSO and Oxygenous is the key reaction.
(2)MgSO3+O2+H2O MgSO4+H2O
